Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Unveils In-Room Tablet Technology

In addition to top-notch property attractions, the hotel is focused on providing high-level guestroom services.

Located along the pristine beaches of New Providence in the Bahamas, the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, with  a whopping 1,800 contemporary bedrooms, is the flagship hotel property at the Baha Mar resort.

Originally, Baha Mar was to consist of five hotels, with the anchor property being the Baha Mar Casino Resort & Hotel. Earlier this year, however, Grand Hyatt branded the anchor property in addition to the original space allotted for it.

The 300-room SLS Baha Mar and the the 200-room Rosewood Baha Mar are set to open this quarter.

The Baha Mar resort exists on a grand scale. It boasts 40 world-class restaurants and lounges as well as the Caribbean’s largest casino, featuring 1,140 slots and 119 tables. The resort also boasts a flagship ESPA spa, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature designed golf course, seven swimming pools, 200,000 square feet of inside and outside convention space and a discovery centre, tennis courts and multiple other recreational facilities.

In addition to top-notch property attractions, the hotel is focused on providing high-level guestroom services. Among the in-room amenities, the resorts recently unveiled state-of the-art tablet technology, providing guests with centralized access to a wealth of functionality at their fingertips. Guests can access resort information as well as order a range of services, including room service, spa treatments, cabanas, golf and tennis.

The hotel selected bespoke 10-inch tablets from UK-based Crave Interactive, developer of guest-facing hotel tablets and app solutions. The tablets are designed specifically for use in hotels and come complete with Bluetooth speaker docks. The tablets are highly secure and easy to manage and maintain, with a proprietary operating system and mobile device management technology.

Built-in analytics can be used to track and measure every press and click, providing the hotel with valuable data that can be used to help understand guests’ interests and preferences, ultimately driving increased guest satisfaction. Based on experience in other properties, the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar expects 25-30 million guest interactions at per annum. Baha Mar is one of the largest resorts to open in all of North America.
