The competitive landscape for hotel revenue management has been dominated by a handful of solution providers. Now there may be a new one joining the group.
This week, Atomize, a cloud-based hotel revenue management system, announced that it has raised €2 million ($2.3 million) in an extended seed round.
It would appear that Atomize has made impressive progress since its inception less than two years ago. The company’s solution is reportedly now used by hoteliers across 25 countries. Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, Atomize offers hoteliers the ability to increase their RevPAR by automatically setting the optimal price at any given moment, for every room and booking type.
The company’s stated mission is to build the most intuitive, yet most powerful and fully automated revenue management system available on the market. It’s a loft goal and, of course, Atomize is hardly alone in pursuing it.
Among the solution’s key benefits: Atomize can be set to full automation (autopilot) in setting optimal hotel rates. Utilizing advanced technology and algorithms, the system is self-learning, meaning that it automatically learns and takes smarter pricing decisions as time passes by.
Atomize believes in an ”easy in, easy out” philosophy – by offering a free trial and no binding contracts. Hotel properties using Atomize run the gamut in terms of categories and size, with clients ranging from 10 to 1250 rooms.
According to a company spokesperson, the new funding round will be used to accelerate product development and global rollout.
