Bookboost, a leading hotel-focused CRM solution provider, has secured $3.9 million in its latest funding round, led by Vendep Capital. The investment will support the Swedish company’s efforts to enhance its customer data platform (CDP) and multi-channel CRM, enabling hotels to improve guest engagement through AI-driven automation and personalized communication across email, SMS, WhatsApp, and online travel agencies (OTAs). By integrating these capabilities into a unified platform, Bookboost aims to help hotels build stronger guest relationships, increase direct bookings, and drive long-term revenue growth.
Unlike traditional CRM platforms that primarily store guest data, Bookboost’s technology is designed to centralize and activate that data, allowing hotel brands to engage with guests in a more targeted and automated manner. By consolidating booking history, guest preferences, interactions, and feedback, the platform provides hotel operators with a more complete picture of their customers. This approach enables hotels to refine their marketing strategies, personalize guest experiences, and optimize revenue. Additionally, automated workflows allow hotels to reach out to guests at the right moments—whether to send targeted promotions, encourage repeat bookings, or provide timely support—without requiring manual intervention.
According to Bookboost CEO Willem Rabsztyn, the funding will help the company advance its mission to help hotels better utilize their guest data. He noted that hotels that establish direct relationships with their guests tend to perform better, and Bookboost aims to give them the tools to personalize interactions at scale. Rabsztyn emphasized that strengthening the company’s CRM and CDP capabilities will allow hotels to take greater control of their data and improve revenue performance. By leveraging AI-powered insights, hotels can create personalized offers and communication strategies tailored to individual guest preferences, leading to higher satisfaction and loyalty.
Vendep Capital General Partner Sami Ahvenniemi stated that the firm had been following Bookboost’s progress for some time, recognizing its ability to scale, attract talent, and develop new products. He highlighted the platform’s role in giving hotels a more comprehensive view of their guests, streamlining communication, and enhancing the overall guest experience. Vendep sees significant potential in Bookboost’s ability to expand internationally and further develop its offerings. He noted that by automating guest engagement, hotels can not only increase operational efficiency but also deliver more consistent brand experiences across multiple properties.
Founded in 2016, Bookboost boasts a strong track record of success in helping hotels improve guest engagement and revenue performance. According to the company, hotels using the platform have reported a 55% increase in direct bookings, an 8-11% rise in guest reviews, and a 17% improvement in guest satisfaction scores. Additionally, marketing campaigns powered by Bookboost have achieved nine times higher conversion rates compared to conventional outreach methods. These improvements demonstrate the value of integrating AI-driven automation with a hospitality-specific CRM.
With the additional funding, the company plans to further develop its AI-powered automation tools, expand its team, and refine its data integration capabilities to better serve hotels worldwide. As part of its growth strategy, Bookboost will focus on expanding its analytics and reporting features, enabling hotels to gain deeper insights into guest behavior and engagement patterns. By incorporating machine learning, the platform will also help hotels predict guest needs and automate personalized interactions at scale.
The company’s focus is on helping hotels use automation to eliminate manual processes while improving guest interactions. By offering a unified ecosystem for guest communication, Bookboost seeks to provide hotel brands with greater control over their customer relationships, allowing them to increase repeat bookings and enhance customer loyalty. The platform’s open API allows hotels to integrate existing technology stacks, ensuring seamless data exchange across property management systems (PMS), booking engines, and marketing tools.
As part of its expansion efforts, Bookboost will continue to refine its data platform to ensure hotels can efficiently integrate and utilize guest insights across multiple channels. The company believes that as the hospitality industry increasingly shifts toward data-driven engagement, its technology will play a key role in helping hotels adapt to evolving guest expectations. By providing a scalable, AI-driven guest engagement solution, Bookboost is positioning itself as a leader in the next generation of hospitality CRM technology.
