Agilysys Expands Hospitality Technology Portfolio with Book4Time Acquisition

Agilysys, a leading global provider of hospitality software solutions, has acquired Book4Time, a prominent player in spa management software, for approximately $150 million. This strategic move strengthens Agilysys’ position in the hospitality technology market and expands its reach to a wider range of properties worldwide.

Book4Time, recognized as the top enterprise SaaS solution for wellness hospitality organizations, manages guest experiences at spas, hotels, resorts, casinos, and private clubs in over 100 countries. The company’s software, lauded for its appointment booking, contactless guest intake, and revenue management capabilities, helps properties optimize spa operations and enhance guest satisfaction.

This acquisition aligns with Agilysys’ commitment to providing comprehensive technology solutions that enable hospitality businesses to achieve “High Return Hospitality.” By adding Book4Time’s specialized spa management software to its portfolio, Agilysys can offer a more complete suite of solutions to its existing customer base and tap into new market opportunities.

The acquisition also presents significant cross-selling opportunities. While both companies share some high-profile clients, such as Marriott International and Hilton, there is minimal overlap in their overall customer bases. This allows Agilysys to introduce its existing solutions, including property management systems (PMS) and point-of-sale (POS) systems, to Book4Time’s extensive network of spa and wellness properties.

This acquisition follows Agilysys’ 2021 purchase of ResortSuite, another strategic move aimed at expanding the company’s offerings and reach within the hospitality technology market. The integration of Book4Time’s spa management expertise with Agilysys’ existing solutions creates a powerful synergy, positioning the company to better serve the evolving needs of the global hospitality industry.
