iVvy, a global venue and event management software platform, and Lightwave, a smart lighting, power, and heating technology company, have announced a partnership that connects event scheduling directly with building energy controls — enabling hotels, resorts, conference centers and other hospitality venues to operate more sustainably while reducing operational costs and supporting net-zero initiatives.

The first-of-its-kind integration links Lightwave’s smart devices with iVvy’s booking and event management platform. When a meeting, banquet, conference or private event is scheduled, the system can automatically power up lighting, AV equipment, screens, catering appliances and other connected systems ahead of guest arrival, then automatically power them down when the event concludes — eliminating unnecessary energy usage and reducing manual effort for hotel and venue operations teams.

As hotels continue balancing rising utility costs, labor constraints and increasing pressure to meet ESG and sustainability goals, the integration provides a new level of automation for managing energy consumption across ballrooms, meeting spaces, event venues and other high-traffic function areas.

“Our mission has always been to help businesses and households take control of their energy use. Partnering with iVvy extends this vision into the hospitality and events industry, giving hotels and venues an easier way to operate smarter, more efficiently and more sustainably,” said Jason Elliott, Chief Executive Officer, Lightwave.

Edgbaston Stadium, one of England’s most iconic cricket grounds and a high-volume, multi-use hospitality and events venue, is among the first organizations to deploy the iVvy and Lightwave integration. With sporting events, conferences, hospitality functions and private gatherings often running simultaneously across different areas of the venue, the operations team required a scalable energy management solution capable of automating controls without adding complexity for on-site staff.

“Overall, we are very happy with the Lightwave Smart Socket and iVvy integration. It has proven to be a smart yet simple solution that delivers real value in energy and cost savings while supporting our sustainability targets. Everything works exactly as it should without adding extra work for teams on the ground. We saw benefits straight away, which made it easy to trust the technology and expand deployment confidently,” said Lydia Carrington, Sustainability Manager, Edgbaston Stadium

For iVvy, the deployment highlights how hospitality venues can increasingly leverage operational automation to support both guest experience and sustainability initiatives. “This is the first integration of its kind to connect venue management software directly with smart energy-saving technology. By combining iVvy’s event management and automation capabilities with Lightwave’s intelligent energy controls, we’re helping hotels and venues take a major step forward in operating meetings and events more efficiently and sustainably,” said Lauren Hall, CEO, iVvy.

Hospitality venues are under growing pressure to reduce energy waste while maintaining high service standards across increasingly complex operations. The iVvy-Lightwave integration addresses this challenge by automating energy usage around real-time booking activity, helping properties reduce unnecessary power consumption in underutilized spaces while improving operational efficiency for on-site teams.

The integration is available now across the United Kingdom and Europe and is designed for hotels, resorts, conference centres, stadiums and multi-function hospitality venues managing meetings, events and group business across multiple spaces.
